Part 1. The Practice
Speaking Your Truth – Holding the Good & the Bad
Hello, introspective soul.
One of the gifts of being an introvert is deep self-awareness. We often carry the emotions, dreams, and desires of our childhood with us—sometimes as fuel, sometimes as weight. Today, we’re going to explore what we longed for, what we received, and how to hold both realities at once.
Reflection: Revisiting Childhood Desires.
Grab your pen and paper. Let’s reflect:
List 3 things you deeply wanted as a child but never got.
Now, list 3 things you actually did receive.
Can you hold both the loss and the gratitude in the same space? Can you honor the complexity of your childhood experience without dismissing either side?
The Power of Speaking Your Truth
Introverts have a gift: we are keen observers. But sometimes, we observe without speaking. Today, let’s practice voicing our truth.
Complete these two sentences:
"My childhood was incredibly difficult because of ________________."
"My childhood was incredibly beautiful because of ________________."
Now, say them out loud. Just to yourself. Just to the room.
No justifying.
No over-explaining.
No softening the edges.
Just your voice, telling your truth.
Now… take a sip of water. That’s it. You did it.
